Issue/Introduction

An IDMS CV or batch jobs using DYNAM/D can encounter the following abend:

0P86I REQUEST FOR I/O BEYOND EXTENT LIMITS

Environment

Release: 18.5
Environment: IDMS,on z/VSE, DYNAM/D

Cause

The VSE IPL ASI proc has SYS DASDFP=YES

Resolution

There are conflicts with DASDFP and DYNAM. Change DASDFP to DASDFP=NO and IPL.

DASDFP should be set to NO if DYNAM is active on a VSE system regardless of the Broadcom products used.
