Issue/Introduction

We have Spectrum installed in a Fault Tolerant environment integrated with VNA.  We have noticed that there are duplicate models after upgrading in 23.3.x

Mostly we have seen duplicate AccessPoints.  When investigating we found that there were Cameras that were actually modeled as AccessPoints instead of Cameras.

Environment

Release : 22.2.x
Component: Spectrum Integration with VNA

Resolution

Unfortunately you will need to configure the below steps and after restarting you will need to manually destroy the duplicates in OneClick.

1. Set wait_active=yes in the $SPECROOT/SS/.vnmrc file on the Primary SpectroSERVER system.

2. Restart the SpectroSERVER process.

3. Make the following changes in the $SPECROOT/tomcat/webapps/spectrum/WEB-INF/web.xml file on the OneClick system integrated with VNA:

a. Set the parameter "com.ca.spectrum.app.sdn.integration.manager.SdnModelingWaitActive" value to "true"

b. Set he parameter "com.ca.spectrum.app.sdn.integration.manager.SdnModelAsVirtual" value to "true"

4. Restart tomcat.

This will most likely cause the VNA Sync to take additional time on the initial conversion.

Additional Information

You will need to manually delete the duplicate VNA models.
