Messages cannot be released from quarantine

Issue/Introduction

If the control center has the SMTP server configured with the "define new host" setting, and the host IP address corresponds to a scanner, releasing a message from the quarantine results in a momentary release display, followed by its reappearance in the quarantine. Upon inspecting the Message Audit Logs, it is observed that a new verdict (reinsert) and filter policy (default) were applied.

Resolution

This is an expected behavior as the message is being released from the quarantine back to the scanner.
To avoid this scenario, change the SMTP settings in the control center to either "Use existing non-local relay settings" or to a host other than the scanners. (Administration > Settings > Control Center > SMTP)
