Change Data Collector assigned to VNA Gateway

Issue/Introduction

When we initially set up the VNA Gateway, we used the existing Data Collector.  Now, we've set up a dedicated Data Collector for the VNA Gateway.  However, I cannot modify the VNA Gateway configuration document to point to the new Data Collector

Environment

All supported DX NetOps Virtual Network Assurance releases

Cause

No code exists to support functionality allowing movement of VNA items tied to one DC to another.

Resolution

The only solution at this time is to delete the existing Gateway and configure a new one using the new Data Collector (DC).

This will result in the existing VNA generated non-SNMP managed items tied to the existing DC being deleted, along with their historic data being removed.

The same items should then be rediscovered through the new Gateway/DC association where polling should resume.

Adding this functionality would require submission of an Enhancement Request. To do so open a Support case for additional details.

Caution: It is not recommended to disable the existing VNA Gateway, and adding a new one for the same plugins and new DC. That will result in duplicate items which will cause additional VNA data collection issues.
