Issue/Introduction

Question: 

During CA OPS/MVS startup the OPSMAIN started task can fail with the following informational message:

IEF196I IKJ56241I SPECIFIED UNIT IS UNDEFINED.

How to resolve this problem?

Answer:

The message indicaties a problem with an esoteric that reference to a unit or volume that is not available.

Use the OPSTART1 startup member to add the following statement right before the OX to the OPSSPAxx member:

 OPSPARM Set(vio) value(sysda)  

This will allow define the VIO esoteric with your site standard.
