Issue/Introduction

When a baseline is updated from Microsoft Project and saved back to Clarity, the Last Updated By and Last Updated Date is not updated.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a new project with a task and assign a resource.
  2. Create a baseline in Clarity.
  3. Log in to Clarity with a different user.
  4. Open the project in Microsoft Project.
  5. Modify the data in the baseline (like Baseline Start, Baseline Finish...) for the task.
  6. Save the project back to Clarity.
  7. Check the baselines in Clarity.

Expected Results: Last Updated By and Last Updated Date have been updated as the rest of the data of the baseline.

Actual Results: Baseline data has been updated, but Last Updated By and Last Updated Date have not been updated (as Last Updated Date should be the same day, configure it to show Date and Time).

Environment

Release : 16.0.3

Cause

Resolution

This is working as designed.

The Baseline Start and Baseline Finish attributes in Microsoft Project correspond to StartVariance and FinishVariance, which are the difference between a task's baseline start/finish date and its currently scheduled start/finish date. They do not map to the task's Baseline Start or Baseline Finish dates in Clarity, so the baseline is not being updated.
