Issue/Introduction

In the z/OSMF Post SMPE workflow job 2 that 'Generate and submit the JCL to update the SMP/E DSNAMEs' the job may fail with BPXF135E RETURN CODE 00000081, REASON CODE EF096055.  THE MOUNT FAILED FOR FILE for the product's zFS.

For example for the ESP Workload Automation product the z/OSMF Post SMPE workflow job 2 may fail with messages:

BPXF274I FILE SYSTEM ESMMNT  182
FAILED TO MOUNT.
RETURN CODE = 00000081, REASON CODE = EF096055

Resolution

The problem can be caused by the DSNAME specified in the 'Workflow Step 2. Generate and submit the JCL to update the SMP/E DSNAMEs', 'Input Variables - Target zone path names' does not match the zFS created by the z/OSMF deployment jobs along with the other SMP/E product datasets.

Example: The following zFS is created for the ESP product:

hlq.ESP.D7Y120.CD7YUSS
hlq.ESP.D7Y120.CD7YUSS.DATA

To address the error, do the following in the 'Properties for Workflow Step 2. Generate and submit the JCL to update the SMP/E DSNAMEs' dialog box:

1. Specify the correct data set name in the yellow highlighted box shown below.  (In this example, the correct data set name is hlq.ESP.D7Y120.CD7YUSS.)

2. Generate and submit the JCL to update the SMP/E DSNAME's.
