Issue/Introduction

A File Event is going to status "FAULT_OTHER - Start impossible" after upgrading to v21 in our production.

This happens when using a File Event with FILE_SIZE in ANONYMOUS mode without a login object.

A File Event using "number of files" can be run without a LOGIN object with ANONYMOUS_FE=Y and LOGIN_CHECK = no.

These are the errors in the message window:

U00065005 Unable to start event '1004005' as user '', reason: 'safe_getpwnam'.
U00011000 'EVNT.FILE.FILE_SIZE' (RunID: '0001004005') could not be started on 'UNIX_AGENT'. See next message.

This used to work in v12.3

 

Reproduction:

• Set ANONYMOUS_FE=Y (UC_HOSTCHAR) and LOGIN_CHECK = no (Agent ini)
• Create a File Event type FILE_SIZE for any file
• In Atrributes choose an Agent but leave the Login field empty
• Run the File Event
• The above error is displayed, job ends FAULT_OTHER
