10.8 Agent compatibility

Issue/Introduction

I am meeting with some of the users of our current 10.7.3 HF84 system to prepare for the 10.8 migration.

These teams handle the agent config and installations. Are agents currently working with 10.7.3 fully compatible with 10.8?

We are trying to assess the work effort required to perform the upgrade. I reviewed the compatibility guide but I wanted to double check before providing them the information.

 

Environment

Release : 10.8

Resolution

1) APM 10.7.x will no longer be supported by end of the year. So should start migrating those 10.7.x agents or explore getting an extended support contract .

CA APM Release and Support Lifecycle Dates

2) APM 10.7 should work directly against a 10.8 EM.
