Unable to launch Symantec Installation Manager 

The following errors are in the log files.

Exception while accessing[https://www.solutionsam.com/solutions/pl/symantec_v2.pl.xml.zip]. The remote service point could not be contacted at the transport level.

Resolution

The customer did the following to resolve the issue:

  1. Disabling the proxy settings in the browser
  2. Configuring the appropriate proxy information in the SIM using credentials that include the domain name (domain/user)
