Issue/Introduction

How to modify the bind owner when performing the Database Management Solutions for Db2 for z/OS Post Installation tasks?

Resolution

This information pertains to the following Post Install tasks:

       ssid0000 - Perform DB2 Object Comparison
       ssid0002 - Bind Product Plans

If the user submitting the job does not have the requisite authority, then the BIND statements fail with the following messages:

DSNT210I bind-type AUTHORIZATION ERROR
           USING authorization-id AUTHORITY
           PLAN=plan-id
           PRIVILEGE=privilege
DSNT201I type bind-type FOR PLAN plan-id NOT SUCCESSFUL

In order to BIND the Db2 Products plans using a secondary AUTHID, modify the PLANOWN parameter in the SETUPxx member of hlq.CDBAPARM.
