Issue/Introduction

We are monitoring a Cisco Firewall and with this particular hardware platform memory is physically divided as follows:

 

The snmpcollector probe is used and QOS_PHYSICALMEMORY_UTILIZATION turned on but applied to every memory type. 

How can we monitor the total system memory usage instead of the individual memory in this case?

Resolution

Create a template with a filter rule to only apply the template to the DP System Memory. This is the memory that encapsulates all memory types on the system.
