Issue/Introduction

I have a filter applied to my alarms in Operator Console which limits the number of alarms displayed.

For example, the following screenshot shows the "jalle-mainhub" device as having one (1) alarm which matches the filter.

If I click on the jalle-mainhub device where the red arrow indicates, I am taken to a view that is unfiltered and shows all the alarms for this device:

Why is the filter not respected?

Resolution

The "Top 10" Alarms View shows the number of alarms which match the filter so that you can quickly narrow down which devices have the highest number of matching alarms.

However, clicking on the device name in that list actually opens the Inventory page (focused on the list of alarms) and shows the device itself.

Although the list of alarms is displayed initially, the filter is no longer applicable because we are looking at a device-level view and not an alarm-specific/filtered view.

If you wish to filter the alarm list on the device view we recommend using the "Quick Filter" box at the top left corner of the page.
