What are the different wild card characters available for searching in Service Desk?

Resolution

The following are the wild card characters available for use in Service Desk list screens:

  1. % - Matches on any string composed of zero or more characters.
  2. _ - Matches on any single character.
  3. [ ] - Matches on any single character contained in the specified set or range.
  4. [ ^ ] - Matches on any single character that is not in the specified set or range.

Example: We can search for June Arnold in the "list_cnt" screen (in the last_name field) in any one of the following ways:

arn%
a_n%
a?n%
a[rst]n%
a[^st]n%
