Rich text with images is often duplicated with an image in the end

Issue/Introduction

If I copy mixed text + images from (say) Word or Outlook and paste it into a Rally description field or discussion field, at least one of the images ends up repeated at the end of the pasted block. This happens pretty much all the time.

Cause

This is a limitation in the CKEditor4 editor that is being used in Rally.

Resolution

Temporary Workaround:

Please avoid using Microsoft apps like Outlook, Word, etc., as an interim fix for the CKEditor4 supported fields (Description, Notes, and Discussions..etc.)

If any users would like to try copy paste the data into Rally, especially into these fields kindly use alternatives like Google Docs. 


Permanent Fix:
The new CKEditor5 editor is soon going to replace the CKEditor4 editor in Rally
