Transfers are failing with message:
#XCOMU0298E Unable to allocate remote transaction program: Txpi 211: Socket connect error return value = 78
Able to ping and telnet to port 8044 without any problems. The problem started to happen after the Linux OS was patched and clustering was introduced in the environment.
XCOM™ Data Transport® for Linux PC
The return value of 78 indicates that the "Remote address changed" (EREMCHG) (ChromiumOS > Reference > Linux Error Number Table (errno)).
Problem started in this environment after introducing clustering and an incorrect IP address was being used for the cluster.
Changes to the routing tables and firewalls had to be made by the network team to correct the problem.
Similar intermittent symptoms have been reported with Load Balancing being used for a cluster of XCOM servers and was again due to a firewall misconfiguration.
