How to configure Cloud SWG to allow Microsoft dictate feature to work with WSS Agent?

Issue/Introduction

The customer was trying to use the Microsoft dictate feature on their workstation, however with WSS Agent installed the feature was not operational, whilst it worked fine when the agent was disabled for troubleshooting purposes.

Microsoft Windows Dictate feature

Cause

The Dictate feature uses some Speech-to-text recognition and the audio data acquisition URL [1] should not be TLS intercepted as this causes issues with the feature

Resolution

Add the Microsoft speech URL into a TLS exemption rule to ensure the feature operates as needed.
