Clarity PPM On Premise Clarity PPM SaaS

Issue/Introduction

The very first time Clarity is deployed with a database, the database will show Not Available until a services restart

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Perform a new install of Clarity as per the installation guide
  2. Connect to CSA when it gets deployed
  3. Go to Database and enter the details for a Clarity database with the same version, Save
  4. Now go to Data Warehouse - submit the details for DWH database with the same version, Save

Expected Results : Since the database is accessible, NSA should show it Available upon clicking Save. This was previously working

Actual Results: The database will show Not Available upon Save - both for Clarity and DWH and error is thrown: Unable to persist configuration properties to database. Likely cause is database properties are not yet set or misconfigured.

Resolution

Workaround: Restart all services - NSA will show Available with no additional change
