Issue/Introduction

Trying to install Spectrum via DSS but getting the below error:

RF3SVXAPXXX: Creating installation log: LOGS_20230210/SERVER2.03.03
RF3SVXAPXXX: Starting Test
RF3SVXAPXXX: UpdateVSRuntime: Unable to connect.
RF3SVXAPXXX: UpdateVSRuntime: Unable to connect.
RF3SVXAPXXX: <SERVERNAME>: UpgradeSradmin64: Unable to connect.
RF3SVXAPXXX: SPC-INT-20027: Unable to connect to SRAdmin on <SERVERNAME>.
RF3SVXAPXXX: Test complete
All tests complete

Resolution

  • Verify that target sradmin.exe is listening on 46517.
    # netstat -anop | grep 46517

  • Verify telnet or nc to port 46517 from the source connects.
    # telnet localhost 46517
    # telnet <hostname> 46517

    # nc -z -v localhost 46517
    # nc -z -v <hostname> 46517

  • Verify firewalld is disabled
    # systemctl status firewalld

  • Verify the IP address
    # ping <hostname>
    # ifconfig
    # cat /etc/hosts
