Issue/Introduction

I am trying to find the correct version of Datacom/AD to download so that I can upgrade, but accessing the support portal for DATACOM is not showing my product. Is there an alternate way or an alternative location to find this file?

Resolution

While the Datacom/AD product should be readily available under the My Downloads webpage for DATACOM products, sometimes unforeseen problems prevent it from being listed.

In this case, you can usually access the base product (like CA 11, CA 7, Jobtrac, &c.), and download it from there using this method. This example uses the CA 11/Workload Automation Restart Option product, but your product process should be similar.

  1. Log into the support portal as usual, and then select My Downloads from the left-hand menu.
  2. Enter "11" into the search box, and then select CA-11 from the list.
  3. Click on Workload Automation Restart Option for z/OS Schedulers MVS to open the twistie, and then click on Release 11.0 below.
  4. At the top left of the page you should see tabs for Primary Downloads and Additional Downloads; click on Additional Downloads.
  5. This should present a list of companion products, one of which should be Datacom/AD. Click the twistie at the far right edge for that row, and then select the file you need to download.

Checking the Additional Downloads section is always a good practice to save time downloading your product.
