What is the purpose of assigning an alert policy to a WCC Monitoring view? 

Environment

Release : 11.3.6/12.0/12.1

Resolution

Assigning an alert policy to a view allows alerts to be shown in the "Jobs and Alerts" tab for the view. That tab will only show alerts associated with the jobs that are included in the view, even if the alert policy is capturing alarms for other jobs not in the view.
