In some scenarios, you may be dealing with a failed monitoring point, and may request an RMA. While a replacement appliance is being approved for RMA, there may be a request to perform a failure analysis on the defective appliance.
During the typical RMA process, the engineer may indicate that the defective unit should be shipped back for failure analysis. This would usually only occur for specific issues identified by the support engineer, or if requested.
Failure analysis may be performed on newer AppNeta appliances.
AppNeta will no longer accept legacy M25 or M35 models back for RMA cases for failure analysis, and these appliances will not be reused.
