Web Isolation Error, 414 Request-URI Too Large

Issue/Introduction

After configuring Azure SAML, web isolation returns the following error for authentication

 

Environment

Web Isolation on-prem

Web Isolation cloud

Cause

The client request exceeds the allowable nginx buffer size.

Resolution

Create a wildcard rule in WI policy that bypasses the following Microsoft Azure SAML authentication domains.

 

https://aadcdn.msauth.net/*

https://aadcdn.msftauth.net/*

https://login.microsoftonline.com/*
