boot.wim very slow to load and dagent registration issues

Issue/Introduction

While booting to automation with PXE, the boot.wim takes around an hour to load. Once the agent comes up in automation, it is not seen in the console and the endpoint reboots after a few minutes

Other issues may also be observed on the GSS server including high CPU and memory usage as well as services stopping/restarting

Cause

In at least one instance of this issue it was discovered that Sophos had recently been installed on the GSS server. AV exclusions were not in place for GSS services and communication

Resolution

Anti-virus exclusions should be in place for the Ghost Solution Suite 'eXpress' share and all connections between client and server as well as between GSS server and SQL DB. An exclusion should also be in place for c:\windows\temp as this is used as a staging area for bootwiz.exe
