Issue/Introduction

Customer wants to spell check words from one environment in another environment where the words are not already added to the lexicon.

Is it possible to move a lexicon (userdict.tlx) from one environment to another?

Resolution

Yes, there are two options to accomplish this.

1) Replace userdict.tlx with the userdict.tlx from the environment with the extra words you are trying to check.

First confirm the original userdict.tlx does not contain any words from the new userdict.tlx.

Then you can just replace the old userdict.tlx with the new userdict.tlx

Restart services and then the new words should appear.

2) You can use the pdm_lexutil utility to add words using the -l flag and referencing the location of the new userdict.tlx
