Questions about Zowe and z/OS MF in sysplex

Issue/Introduction

Does Zowe always have to run on the same LPAR with z/OS MF ?  For example, can a Zowe instance be configured to run on system A while z/OS MF is running only on system B within the same sysplex ?  

Can multiple instances of Zowe be started across a sysplex on every system while z/OS MF only runs on a single LPAR within that sysplex ?

Resolution

1. Zowe can be configured on another LPAR with ZOSMF running on different LPAR within the same sysplex.
  Just provide details of ZOSMF (host/prt/applid) in yaml configuration, for example:  

  zOSMF:
  # **COMMONLY_CUSTOMIZED**
  # host name of your z/OSMF instance
  host: dvipa.my-company.com
  # **COMMONLY_CUSTOMIZED**
  port: 443
  applId: IZUDFLT

2. Multiple zowe can be started across sysplex with different config or HA instance (YAML config) using the same zosmf. instance.
