Issue/Introduction

Unable to convert an idea to an application if no Application - View - All right is granted or Copy Team option is enabled

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Create a user with the following global rights:
        Application - Create
        Application - Navigate
        Ideas - Navigate
        Idea - View - All
        Idea - Edit - All
        Resource - Hard Book - All
        Resource - Soft Book - All
        Resource - View - All
2. As admin user create an idea, Approve it and set the user above as Manager
3. Login as the user with limited rights
4. Create an application. 
5. It is successfully created
6. Add a team member to the application
7. It is successfully added
8. Go toIdeas and take the idea he is the manager of
9. Click on Convert
10. You get a pop-up to convert the idea to an application
11. Do not enable the Copy Financial Properties or Copy Team > Click Next
12. You fill in the application name and required data and Save
13. The application is successfully created
14. Try another conversion, enabling the Copy Team option > Click Next
15. You fill in the application name and required data and Save

Expected Results: Application to be created
Actual Results: You get an error: PRJ-10012: Attempt to add/update record failed.

Clarity 15.9.x, 16.X

Cause

This is caused by DE68408

Resolution

This is now fixed in 16.1.2

Workaround: 
Do not enable the Copy Team option
OR
Grant the Application - View - All right

 

Additional Information

It happens the same with conversion to projects and other investments if no view global rights are added
