A VLAN speed is discovered as 1Gbps, but its actual value is 40Gbps. So an interface override for speedIN & Out has been set as per:
KB : How to get Speed In and Speed In Override for an interface
However, the Interfaces Over Threshold view continues to use 1Gbps for its calculations and hence shows the interface in a permanent state of alarm since it always has utilisation above threshold when calculated on 1Gbps:
What is causing this?
DX NetOps CAPM Release : 21.2 or later
integrated with Network Flow Analysis (NFA)
Interfaces over Threshold is an IP Flow view for which all the data is coming from NFA. So NFA needs to override the speeds. CAPM doesn't automatically push the override speed to NFA which is why it's still using 1Gbps as the speed for calculating Threshold.
In CAPC (NetOps Portal), under
Administration -> Data Sources -> Network Flow Analysis
You can set the Override speed for NFA:
Search for the device > Select the Device > Click on Active Interfaces on the right hand side > Click an interface > Click Edit > Set the override speed there
This will allow threshold calculation for NFA views in CAPC to be undertaken with the specified override speed.
