CA Identity Manager CA Identity Suite

Issue/Introduction

When you export a directory in the Identity Manager (IDM) management console, update the LDAP URL, and attempt to import the directory file back into the environment, you may encounter a blank screen or a "617" error in the console interface. This issue is typically caused by configuration settings on the F5 load balancer.

Environment

Identity Manager 14.5

Cause

This display issue is caused by the F5 load balancer's script injection configuration. The avr.cspm.inject.location variable is set to inject content at the end of the page, which conflicts with the CA Identity Manager console's rendering, resulting in a blank screen.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, you must modify the script injection location in your F5 configuration:

  1. Log in to your F5 administration console.
  2. Locate the avr.cspm.inject.location variable.
  3. Change the value from at_the_end to after_head.
  4. Save the configuration and retry the directory import in the Identity Manager management console.

Additional Information

For additional guidance on this configuration, please consult the official F5 documentation: K93701708: Extra 60f characters inserted into HTTP response by CSPM injection.
