autosys - DBMaint and archive_events struggling to complete

Issue/Introduction

Due to other prior issues DBMaint did not run for years so the autosys database is very large.

Now when we try to run DBMaint or archive_events they run very slow.

Environment

Release : 11.3.6

Resolution

Due to other prior issues DBMaint did not run for years so the autosys database became very large.

DBMaint and archive_events are working when the retention rate is set to trim older data in small increments.  

The client needed to continue lowering the retention rate little by little or truncate the tables and start fresh.

NOTE - they would truncate only a few select tables:  

ujo_alarm

ujo_proc_event

ujo_job_runs

ujo_extended_jobrun_info

ujo_audit_info

ujo_audit_msg
