Issue/Introduction

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
MCIC 16870

Add support for CICS Transaction Server Release 6.1 (CICS 7.4.0).
Without code updates, data from this release is rejected.

SYMPTOMS
The CA MICS CICS Analyzer rejects data from CTS 6.1 (CICS 7.4.0)
systems with the following error message in the DAY040 MICSLOG:

HH.MM.SS CIC06020E INPUT PROCESSING ERROR: CICS RELEASE 740 IS NOT
                   SUPPORTED. INPUT RECORD IS nnn.
HH.MM.SS CIC06020E ALL SUBSEQUENT INPUT DATA FOR CICS REGION
                   APPLID: xxxxxxxx EXECUTING ON SYSTEM: xxxxx
HH.MM.SS CIC06020E USING THIS RELEASE WILL BE BYPASSED.

Additionally, if CICS Transaction Server Release 6.1 is the only
input data source, the MICS DAILY update step DAY040 will
terminate with user abend 300 and the following MICSLOG message:

  BAS00336E LESS THAN 10 INPUT RECORDS SELECTED.  RUN ABORTED.

If VERIFY RELEASE ABORT is coded in prefix.MICS.PARMS(CICOPS) the
DAY040 step will abend with a U998 when an unsupported CICS
monitor release is encountered.  If VERIFY RELEASE NOABORT is
coded the DAY040 will skip the records from an unsupported CICS
release. If there is no other data besides the data from
unsupported release processed in the DAY040, the job will abend
with U0300.

for details on the VERIFY RELEASE parameter.

IMPACT
Without this update, data from CTS Release 6.1 is rejected.  If
Release 6.1 is the only data input, the MICS DAILY update step
DAY040 will fail with a U300 abend.
