Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to combine a Harvest server on Linux and the SQL server database on Windows?  Would this be supported?

Environment

CA Harvest Change Manager

13.x and 14.x

Resolution

When Harvest is installed on Linux, Harvest is expecting the database to be Oracle.  In a Harvest Linux install, the database calls are built this way.

It would be ok for a Harvest Oracle database to be on Windows connecting to Harvest installed on Linux, but NOT SQL server.
