Issue/Introduction

One of the changes with SYSVIEW 17.0  is the new command METRICS that replaced VARS. Now variable names are longer than 8 characters. Does it mean that threshold definitions stored on parmlib members (CTHRESH, MVSTRSH, etc.) need to be updated with new names of variables?

Environment

Release : 17.0

Resolution

The new variables have been aliased to the old ones, this will allow old definitions to be captured by 17.0. So, if use CTHRESH, MVSTHRSH members from the prior release as a SITE parmlib members in 17.0 it should pick up all definitions. Restart SYSVIEW COLD and then check the RULES CICS and RULES MVS screens.

Additional Information

The keyword changes that are highlighted in the migration section of the documentation should be followed.
