Issue/Introduction

The admin user (not system admin) is attempting to create protect policies (such as data transfer via gatelets) and the admin user is unable to view or select any of the custom gatelets in the drop down list even though their respective access profile has been assigned all of the permissions required to view/use the custom gatelet.

Cause

The cause of this behavior is unknown at present but is being investigate by engineering. The issue does not occur in all customer tenants.

Resolution

The following approach seems to resolve the issue in most customer tenants.

- Login as system administrator and create a new custom gatelet, it can be for a fictitious domain or any domain, it is not important.

- Edit the access profile(s) assigned to the admin user(s) and ensure they have all relevant permissions assigned for the newly created cloud service and also and and all cloud services that they want to select in the protect policy.

- Logout and login as the admin user, create a new protect policy and confirm the custom gatelets are now present in the list, sometimes even if they are not present if you start typing the name the custom gatelet will be found and from then on it will be found in the drop down list.
