Issue/Introduction

Our installation of Enforce repeatedly failed, after some analysis we found that on locked down machine where JRE directory has only read access Enforce would not install.

This had error: Process wrote to standard output: Error occurred during initialization of VM
java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/Object

After we changed file permissions the Enforce server installed.

Environment

Release : 15.8 MP3

Cause

Unknown at this time, a low priority ticket has been filed with engineering.

Resolution

Temporarily change the permissions on the JRE installation directory so that Enforce installation can complete.
