Issue/Introduction
Under the "Cloud-enabled Management Agent IIS Website Settings" policy (Settings>Notification Server>Cloud-enabled Management) it is showing the following message and this warning doesn't go away with service restarts or server reboots:
Configuration task is in progress, please wait
Environment
ITMS 8.x
Cause
This is related to the core setting "AgentSiteConfigurationTaskGuid" that was not removed due to an apparent glitch after site creation and now the page assumes that the site is still under construction.
Resolution
Manually remove this setting from the Core Settings:
Go to "C:\ProgramData\Symantec\SMP\Settings" and open CoreSettings.config (you can open it by running Notepad as administrator so later you can save the changes without receiving permission errors). Note: Make a copy of the CoreSettings.config file before editing it.
Then find the line that has the "AgentSiteConfigurationTaskGuid" setting on it. If you see it, just delete the whole line and save the file.
Then restart the Altiris Service and check the page again and see if the warning message is still there.
