This article explains how a particular text string can be found in an IPC source file.

Resolution

To scan the VLS source file either:

1. Use VLSUTIL SCAN  Function . 
   
   
2. Use Source Transport utility (IDUTSTRN) to transport the entities to an external source file then scan the external source file with a scan utility.
   
   
3. Use GET$DATE. This sample application will scan the VLS source library to find all the programs that use $DATE and $INTERNAL-DATE. This Ideal code can easily be modified to search for any value in the program source. The GET$DATE application is attached.
