Issue/Introduction

Getting 0S00I SUB ECTSTASK CANCELED during the daily shutdown of CICS TS 

 

 

Cause

This error will occur if CEMT P SHUT,I (shutdown immediate) was issued to shut down CICS.

With Immediate Shutdown - Explore's main task has shut down but Explore's subtasks are coming down without being posted by the main task.

Resolution

Issue the transaction EXPT to shut down Explore for CICS first.
