A 48 port Juniper switch is displaying a value of EX4300-24P for the Device Type

Cause

The device has a sysObjectID value of 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.1.1.1.4.63. When the model type was first created, the Device Type associated with this sysObjectID values was set to EX4300-24P. sysObjectID 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.1.1.1.4.63 is for a generic EX4300 device.

Resolution

Use the Device Certification tool to set the Device Type for sysObjectID 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.1.1.1.4.63 to EX4300

- Log into OneClick as an ADMIN user

- Select Tools -> Utilities -> Device Certification from the top level menu

- Filter for the sysObjectID 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.1.1.1.4.63 and select

- Click on the Edit icon

- Change the value of the Device Type to EX4300

- Click on the OK button

- Close  the Device Certification

Reconfigure the model in Spectrum by right clicking on the model and selecting Reconfiguration -> Reconfigure Model from the menu.
