Kafka step with regex correlation receive fails with 'not evaluated' error message

Issue/Introduction

When configuring a DevTest Kafka receive with a regex correlation this works correctly if the message was sent by DevTest.
But if the message was sent to the Topic by another non DevTest client, then the receive fails with a 'Not evaluated' exception error. 

Configuring the Kafka step and using jars as documented in this document, has also not resolved this problem:

Environment

Release : 10.6.3

Resolution

Configure the password for the keystore without using a variable or property.
If curly braces are shown then a property is used.
To configure the password without using a property click on the gear icon and choose 'Normal Editor'.

After that enter the password directly.
