Problem creating work Tapes after ptfs are installed

Issue/Introduction

Following PTFs applied: LU08458, LU02389, LU05200,LU05824.

Temporary files on tapes are not created as Scratch ('**   WORK TAPE  **) , but receive an expiration date of 1 day. 

 

 

Environment

Release : 14.0

Cause

PTF LU05200 introduced some changes to TMOOPTxx (refer KB255684)

The WRKFLS option is now obsolete (set to NO by default), NO is the only allowable value permitted.

Temporary datasets are not allowed and datsaets will get 1 day retention.

Resolution

JCL will need to be amended to cater for temporary datasets no longer being available

No workaround.
