UIM - SNMPCollector doesn't apply auto-alarm ON option by template

Issue/Introduction

When you configure a monitoring template, and enable QoS and Alarms (publish data & publish alarms), you may notice that only QoS was enabled for the SNMPcollector profile (alarms still appear to be "off") .

 

Environment

Release : 20.4.x, SNMPcollector, tested versions: 4.04 - 4.06

Cause

Working as designed. 

Resolution

If an alarm is enabled without selecting the alarm criteria then it won't be applied to profiles, therefore you need to specify at least 1 threshold for either "static" or "dynamic" criteria in the template configuration.
