Issue/Introduction

After Cap2212 was applied the following warning was received in the Explain output.

PP217W: VSAM has been replaced with recommendation to create an index.         
                                                                               
VSAM has been replaced with a recommendation to create an index for DB2        
catalog system table.  Once the index has been created, RUNSTATS               
should be executed against the new index followed by binds of the              
PPA/SQE plan and packages to utilize the new access paths.                     
                                                                               
SYSFIELDS (TBCREATOR, TBNAME, NAME)                                            
                                                                               
This new catalog index will improve performance in these product areas:        
                                                                               
    - Quick Explain                                                            
    - Explain Strategy Services                                                
    - Statement Reporting

Resolution

Removing the VSAM= Card from the Explain resolved the problem by removing the message warning  issue.
