Issue/Introduction

When running a nimldr installation getting the following messages:

Jan 20 20:21:33:269 0 nimldr: nimCharsetAutoConvert() -- can't determine source encoding
Jan 20 20:21:33:269 0 nimldr: nimSessionNew - _probeCheckin failed - communication error
Jan 20 20:21:33:269 0 nimldr: No Controller:communication error
Jan 20 20:21:33:269 0 nimldr: Ask: Where should nimldr store temporary files? ==>[/opt/nimsoft/tmp]

Resolution

These messages can be ignored and are not representative of the problem in the event the install fails. To further debug a failed installation you can use:

./nimldr -d5

This would represent debug level 5 logging for nimldr, and will give more details in the nimldr.log.
