CA Service Management - Service Desk Manager

Issue/Introduction

Trying to install SDM 17.3 on a new server but we are seeing the following error:

2022/12/27 11.34.03.777 ERROR [DeployThread: Configuring CA Service Desk Manager] [ConfigureSDM] SDM configuration failed with message : 12/27 11:30:16.380 WARN  ConfigThread.java      582 Configuration task (Start CA Service Desk Manager service(s) in db admin mode.) is failed in step : 18

configure.log contains the following:

Environment

Release : 17.3

Cause

Server does not have the necessary MDB client installed.

Resolution

The issue was resolved after the prerequisite 32 bit client of the Oracle client was installed.
