How to save windows event viewer logs to send to support

Issue/Introduction

For troubleshooting purposes support asked to send the event viewer logs

Environment

Release : 3.4, 4.x

Cause

You can go to Event Viewer via Control panel

Control Panel\System and Security\Administrative Tools

or execute eventvwr 

you will go to the window screen with all logs, in the left side in Windows you will have the following logs

Application, Security, Setup, System, Forwarded Events

 

 

Resolution

 

The interesting logs to send are usually the system and application

Choose system and in the right side you choose 'Save all events as' put the system and date as a name "evnvwr-systemJan23"

do the same for application logs choose 'Save all events as' put the system and date as a name "evnvwr-applicationJan23"
