Issue/Introduction

Occasions can arise when you need to export data stored in the Messaging Gateway sender group configuration for use in another application. The following procedure will export sender group entries to a text file.

 

Environment

Release : 10.8.0

Cause

Need Bad sender information exported.

Resolution

To export sender group information to a text file
  1. In the Control Center, go to Reputation > Policies > Bad Senders or Reputation > Policies > Good Senders
  2. Click one of the bad or good sender groups.
    The entries for all good sender groups, or all bad sender groups are exported no matter which list you open. However, the you cannot export entries for Symantec Global Good Senders, Symantec Global Bad Senders, directory harvest attacks, email virus attacks, or Fastpass.
  3. Click Export
Your browser will prompt you to open the file from its current location or save it to disk.

Export File Format

AC: - These entries specify an IP address or network with is on the Local Good Sender IP list
RC: - These entries specify an IP address or network on the Local Bad Sender IP list
AS: - These entries specify en email address or domain on the Local Good Sender Domain list
RS: - These entries specify an email address or domain on the Local Bad Sender Domain list
BL: - These entries specify a third part Bad Sender list
