Does the Policy Server require NTLM authentication to connect to Active Directory user stores?

Issue/Introduction

Customer's security team is requiring them to disable NTLM authentication on all their Active Directory user stores.  Will this affect Siteminder's ability to connect to these stores?

Environment

All Policy Server releases

Resolution

No.  The policy server does not use NTLM to connect to AD user stores, thus NTLM can be disabled without affecting the policy server's user store connections.
