Issue/Introduction

Does DX NetOps (Spectrum) support having failover nodes in separate geographical sites, separated by large distances (>200KM)?

Resolution

Broadcom has never benchmarked the actual throughput between the FT pairs.

As far as we are aware,as long as the  MTU size is intack between the servers with out any fragmentation and latency is <5ms the distance is not a criteria for FT pairs.

If it is above 5ms, it will still work but may be slow to take over.
