802.3 Rpt_Segment model created even though create_fanout=false is in the .vnmrc file

Issue/Introduction

After setting the create_fanout=false parameter in the $SPECROOT/SS/.vnmrc file and restarting the SpectroSERVER process, I am still seeing an 802.3 Rpt_Segment created between a switch models and several AP models. This is only seen in the connection of multiple AP models to a single switch port.

Cause

The discovery code for AP models does not respect the create_fanout=false parameter in the $SPECROOT/SS/.vnmrc file.

Resolution

A code change has been proposed for the AP discovery code to respect the create_fanout=false parameter in the .vnmrc file.

This is targeted for a future Spectrum release. No specific release set at this time.
